Providers

These pages are intended for the use of all providers recognised by PruHealth or seeking recognition for reimbursement. PruHealth will pay providers' fees in full where they are reasonable and customary for the service provided. Such services must also reflect current mainstream UK clinical practice and, where possible, be based on the best available evidence for safety and efficacy.

Important note for all providers

PruHealth has recently acquired Standard Life Healthcare to become one of the largest health insurers in the UK.

There are no immediate changes for our customers or providers as a result of the acquisition.

Please continue to submit invoices in the usual way, to the billing addresses you used previously.
EDI invoicing will also continue in accordance with current practice.

Please also continue to invoice us at the rates you would normally have charged Standard Life Healthcare or PruHealth in the past.

Patients can be identified based on the policy identifiers set out below:

Original PruHealth policy and card numbers have the same first 7 digits:

Policy number 80xxxxx
Card number 80xxxxxxx

Previous Standard Life Healthcare policy numbers begin with either a letter or a number, followed by a series of 8 digits:

Policy number e.g. A/00000000 or 4/00000000

If you are uncertain about how to invoice or have any questions, please contact:

0800 096 7333 for original PruHealth customers
